Razorwire Halo's album, The Occurrence, from which "Running In Reverse" comes, is a concept album dealing with an apocaplypic event which is known of in advance and whom only those who are chosen in a government-sponsored lottery will be saved from. It is discovered that this lottery is rigged and only those with money and status are "winning" this lottery. "Running In Reverse" and its video take place as this is being discovered and a government crack down on those who rebel is taking place.
